Position Description
Arning Companies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from kickoff through
completion. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedules,
budgets, resources, communication, and overall project execution while ensuring
successful delivery and strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a
fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with both internal teams and
external stakeholders, and is driven to deliver projects on time and within
budget.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals,
deliverables, and timelines
- Manage all aspects of project and program engagement from
planning, external vendors, communications, schedule, resources, budget,
change, risks, and issues
- Assemble and lead project teams, delegating tasks and
providing motivation and guidance. Project Managers foster a collaborative
environment and resolve conflict
- Monitor and control project budgets, allocating resources
effectively. They track expenditure and ensure the project remains financially
viable
- Proactively manage and execute collections activities,
communicating with clients to ensure timely payments and resolve payment
discrepancies
- Full project life cycle ownership
- Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact the
project and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues before
they become major problems
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies,
tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the
organization
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project
stakeholders, including customers, team members, and senior management
- Provide regular progress reports and updates
- All other duties assigned
Experience, Qualifications, Education:
- Strong leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation), problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills
- Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques
- Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and travel to customers sites
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
- Experience negotiating contracts
- Experience in successfully leading projects and programs to meet design, schedules and within budget
- Experience working both independently and with a team-oriented environment
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
- Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
- 1-3 years of project management/supervision experience preferred
- 5+ years of construction experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience preferred
- Intermediate level of experience with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Must be able to travel to jobsites, meet with construction managers, subcontractors, etc
